Abstract: Bearing in mind of the awakening of new vocations/readers, the survey aims to present a children book illustration process, it had occurred in Scientific Initiation practice. It carried out by scholarship students of the Architecture and Urbanism course at UNIPAC, campus Barbacena – project that has developed in partnership with the Science Center of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora/MG and the Pedagogy course from UNIPAC/Barbacena. About the title: The Adventures of Quark and His Mates – Quark Expeditions, the process circumscribes the first volume that covers the theme: an expedition to ancient times of history and the presence of marble in Art and Architecture. Uniting the graphic representation of the characters in the fantasy universe with the real and current knowledge of Science and Arts, the Project literature is born. In addition to Quark - protagonist, there are characters: Charm, Hadron and Up. These help in the narratives, but their appearances may vary depending on the adventure.
